This Privacy Policy explains how GradeClarity.com (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our final grade calculator tool (the “Service”).

1. Our Core Privacy Promise

We do not collect, store, or transmit your grades, score inputs, grading thresholds, or calculation results.

GradeClarity is designed to work entirely in your web browser. All calculations happen locally on your device. We have no servers that receive your data, no database that stores it, and no analytics that identify you personally.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or store:

• Your grades, scores, or academic data
• Your grading scale or threshold settings
• Your name, email address, or physical address
• Account credentials or passwords
• Your IP address in an application database or analytics event payload (our hosting provider necessarily processes request data to deliver and secure the site)
• Device fingerprints
• Any data that could identify you or your academic performance

We do not use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or cookies to persist your inputs or settings. All state exists only in memory and is discarded when you refresh or close the page.

3. Information Processed Locally in Your Browser

When you use the Service, the following data is processed only on your device and never sent to us:

4. Third-Party Services

The Service is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request data (such as your IP address, browser type, and request URL) for the purpose of delivering the site to your browser, DDoS protection, and network security. We do not receive or store this data.

Analytics

For the initial release, we use one aggregate analytics service to understand page visits and performance. It does not receive grades, score inputs, targets, letter grades, reachability states, or calculation results from the application.

Advertising (Phase 2, if enabled)

The Service may display advertisements to support its free availability. If ads are enabled, they will be provided by Google AdSense or a similar advertising network.

If advertising is enabled:

• Advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads
• Google AdSense may use cookies to serve personalized or non-personalized ads based on your visit to this and other websites
• You can manage your ad preferences at adssettings.google.com
• For EU/EEA/UK users, we will implement Google Consent Mode v2 to require your consent before loading personalized advertising cookies

Advertising will be placed only after the calculator results and away from the core tool interface. We will never place ads that interfere with your ability to use the calculator.

Current status: Advertising is not yet enabled. This section is provided in advance to inform you of our intended practices.

5. Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

The Service is a general-audience educational tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we do not collect personal information from any user, no child-specific data is processed by us.

If you are under 13, please do not use the Service. If you are between 13 and 17, please review these terms with a parent or guardian.

6. International Users

The Service is hosted using global CDN infrastructure. Since no user data is transmitted to us, your data remains on your device regardless of your location.

For EU/EEA/UK users: we respect the Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If advertising is enabled in the future, we will implement a consent mechanism compliant with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive before loading any advertising cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be noted on the Service.
